The Event.

Join FOA on our annual sponsored hike for Palestine.

This year we will be hiking around the beautiful Staunton Harold Reservoir in the Peak District where you'll be able to enjoy stunning views.

The Freedom Hike is organised annually in order to raise awareness and funds for us to keep campaigning for a free Palestine and is even more important this year.

Over the last 6 months Palestinians have faced some of the worst injustices ever experienced. More than 33,000 Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip have been killed by Israel's indiscriminate air strikes and attacks on homes, schools, hospitals and refugee camps. Over 13,000 of those are children. Almost 85% of the population has been displaced and left homeless. In the occupied West Bank, there has been an increase of Israeli raids and more Palestinians have died in the last 3 months of 2023 than the whole of 2022.

Palestinians have been living under the illegal Israeli occupation and apartheid for the last 76 years and Palestinians in Gaza are now living under a genocidal regime.

Friends of Al-Aqsa have been campaigning for justice for the Palestinians since 1997. We are one of the organisers of the biggest National demonstrations happening frequently for Gaza. Your support is critical for us to effectively work towards an end to Israeli occupation. By taking part in our Freedom walk you are helping us raise awareness for Palestine and vital funds to help Palestinians live freely and peacefully.

To take part, please register now. Once you've registered you will receive more information about the walk and tips on how to fundraise.

Please note: Each participant should try to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorships by 31st August.
