On Wednesday (26th April) FOA held a successful event in Parliament, educating over 30 MPs and their representatives on Israel’s ongoing violations of international law and human rights abuse.

MPs across the political spectrum collected a comprehensive briefing pack detailing key information about Israel’s illegal occupation and apartheid regime.

“It’s thanks to the perseverance of FOA supporters that so many MPs came to meet us today and discussed their next steps in bringing about freedom for Palestinians” said Shamiul Joarder, Head of Public Affairs at FOA.

“One important takeaway from today is that there is support for Palestine. But we must maintain the pressure: we all need to keep contacting our MPs and holding them to account. Next month marks 75 years of Nakba, Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Let’s use that to renew our commitment to the Palestinian cause”.

On Saturday 13th May there will be a National Demonstration calling on the government to impose sanctions on Israel for its continued violations of international law and abuse of Palestinian human rights.
