Job Vacancy: Digital Content Producer and Marketing Officer - April 16th 2024

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Friends of Al-Aqsa team as a Content Officer. FOA is committed to working for Palestinian justice and peace in the region. The candidate’s role will be to help highlight the Palestinian cause. As the Digital Content Producer and Marketing officer, you will be vital in delivering internal and external communications. 

You will be responsible for creating all visual digital communication from FOA. This will be a varied and busy role, with opportunities to work at events nationwide. 

We are looking for someone with excellent content creation skills. You should have an in-depth knowledge of social media platforms and a creative flair for storytelling. This role will involve delivering diverse assets, including video, photography, graphics, audio, text and other multimedia. This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on the liberation of Palestine. 

Job Description 

Responsible for all FOA marketing and communication campaigns to increase engagement with the public, students and decision-makers. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

● Produce engaging digital content and resources for use across the website, ranging from video, photography, graphics, audio, text, and other multimedia to be used across FOA social media platforms. 

● Storyboard, self-shoot and edit video content to support day-to-day activities and campaigns 

● Take briefs, brainstorm solutions, present roughs or visuals, research, manage production, and respond to feedback. 

● Work with the rest of the FOA team to identify and prioritise organisational digital content needs and contribute to our content strategy. 

● Contribute to departmental editorial calendars and team project management tools to identify content needs, gaps and requirements and to plan and schedule new content. 

● Work with the Line Manager to identify opportunities and pilot new digital content formats and/or platforms. 

● Attendance at events and campaign launches will be necessary to capture content – a flexible approach to travel and non-standard working hours is required.

● Respond to all digital content and production requests from volunteers and branches. 

● Project manage creative briefs and production of marketing materials (including leaflets, posters, brochures etc), liaising with internal stakeholders, external designers and agencies. 

● Produce and amend digital content for use by FOA branches in line with briefs and deadlines.

● Provide training and support to staff and branches creating/sourcing their own digital content.

● Ensure the accuracy of information and data.

 ● Ensure usage of appropriate language and motifs.

● Keep up-to-date with trends and developments in digital content (formats and platforms of distribution).

● Manage creative briefs and production of marketing materials (including leaflets, posters, brochures etc).  

General competencies for all staff

· Fluency in English.

· Manage and prioritise your workload and ensure deadlines are met.

· The ability to be flexible with priorities and manage time and multiple tasks.

· Maintain positive and constructive working relationships with all members of the staff team.  

· Maintain confidentiality with sensitive or privileged information, including day-to-day observance of data protection guidelines.

Salary Range: £35 to £38k (Dependent on qualifications and experience) 

Location:  London/Leicester (part remote)
