FOA is delighted to hear that the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has today upheld and championed the fundamental right to boycott, passing a historic motion rejecting “any attempt to delegitimise the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions”.

The TUC notes that Israel has killed over 180 Palestinians this year and reaffirms its commitment to “boycott the goods of companies who profit from illegal settlements, the Occupation and the construction of the Wall”.

Action like this is crucial in fighting the government’s oppressive ‘anti-BDS Bill’. We must step up our efforts as individuals and organisations to stand up for the right to BDS. By working together, we can ensure that the right to boycott and defend Palestinian rights remains part of our democratic society.
