Palestinians from Gaza are reacting to Israel’s ongoing illegal occupation, ethnic cleansing and continued attacks. Reports indicate that operation “Aqsa Flood” has involved taking over Israeli police and army barracks. Al-Jazeera reports that 35 members of the Israeli Occupation Forces have been arrested and 100 wounded. Israel has intensified its bombing of the Gaza Strip and declared a ‘state of war’. Attacks by Israelis on Palestinians are also being reported around Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Israel’s ongoing violations of Palestinian human rights, illegal occupation of Palestinian land and denial of the Palestinian right to self-determination must stop. This catastrophic unfolding of events is the direct result of Israeli occupation, the inhumane siege of Gaza and Israel’s apartheid policies” said Ismail Patel of Friends of Al-Aqsa. “As the illegal occupier and a leading military power, Israel must abide by international law and be restrained to avoid further loss of life”.
