Let Reebok know you will boycott their corporation until they end their sponsorship of the Israel Football Association (IFA) due to its complicity in Israeli war crimes.

Todd Krinsky

REEBOK

I am writing to express my disappointment that Reebok has agreed to a two-year sponsorship deal with the Israel Football Association (IFA) and to let you know of my intention to boycott the corporation until it withdraws.

A global boycott campaign was launched against Puma, the previous IFA sponsor, holding it to account for sports-washing apartheid. Puma ended its sponsorship in 2024. More recently, Errea, the latest sponsor, terminated its agreement in less than two months.

These brands realised that by affiliating themselves with the IFA, they were making themselves complicit in Israel’s violations of international law, war crimes, and occupation. They understood that the reputational damage far outweighed any commercial or economic benefits.

As you will know, Israel is currently on trial for genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and its leaders are wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Since October 2023, Israel has engaged in the systematic destruction of all sport in Gaza, killing over 700 Palestinian athletes. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have turned sports facilities into torture camps, while Israeli footballers have served in or expressed their support for its actions, and fans have been regularly seen singing pro-genocide chants.

Israeli football’s involvement in crimes against the Palestinian people, however, predates October 2023. The IFA has long been complicit in the Israeli state’s crimes: including teams in illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land in its leagues; advocating for them to be maintained; and failing to act against the rampant anti-Palestinian racism present within Israeli football (among clubs and supporters), which was displayed before the entire world in Amsterdam in November 2024.

By choosing to align with the IFA, Reebok is endorsing these crimes and contributing to the normalisation of Israeli apartheid, occupation, and genocide. It is directly complicit in crimes against the Palestinian people and is lending its brand to obscure these.

This will permanently tarnish the Reebok brand, linking it to an increasingly isolated Israel, which has lost all moral standing globally.

We urge you to immediately terminate your contract to illustrate your commitment to human rights and protect your reputation. Until then, I and millions around the world will have no choice but to boycott Reebok.

Here are frequently asked questions on #BoycottReebok

The Israeli Football Association (IFA) is the governing body for football in Israel (similarly to the FA in England). So this means the IFA organise a variety of association football leagues, Israel State cup and the Israel National football team within Israel.

Settlements are built up Israeli communities on stolen Palestinian land. These pre-existing Palestinian communities are forcibly removed from their homes and deprived of access to their land.

Settlements are in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and in the Golan Heights. Israel started building settlements in 1967, after it illegally occupied Gaza and the West Bank.

The United Nations General Assembly, the United Nations Security Council and the International Court of Justice have all said that Israeli settlements on the West Bank violate the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The Fourth Geneva Convention says that an occupying power “shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” Israel has been doing exactly that, since occupying the West Bank in 1967.

Story so far.

In February 2025, Reebok has announced that it had agreed a two-year sponsorship with the Israel Football Association (IFA). Reebok already sponsors other Israeli sports, including its 2024 Olympic team.

It comes only days after Errea, who replaced Puma as the IFA’s sponsor at the beginning of 2025, pulled out of their contract without supplying any kit after widespread calls for a boycott.

Israeli football has long been a bastion of intolerance, where racism against Palestinians and Arabs is tolerated. The IFA also welcomes clubs that are built in settlements that are illegal under international law and violate the laws of FIFA and UEFA.

The Gaza Genocide highlighted Israel’s systematic destruction of sport in Gaza, where it killed over 700 athletes. Sports facilities in Gaza were turned into torture camps, while Israeli football fans were regularly seen singing pro-genocide chants.

The global boycott has already forced two brands, Adidas and Puma, to not renew their contracts and Errea to terminate theirs.

Reebok must immediately withdraw from its contract with the IFA. Join FOA to #BoycottReebok until they end their complicity in Israel’s war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
