Email the CEO of Booking.com demanding they stop advertising listings on stolen Palestinian land.

Glenn Fogel

Booking.com

Thank you for your recent decision to label accommodation in illegal Israeli settlements as existing on “occupied” Palestinian land.

Whilst I welcome this development, I write to urge Booking.com to do more. These Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. They violate the Fourth Geneva Convention which says that it is illegal for an occupying power (Israel) to transfer its population (Israelis) into occupied territory (Palestine).

By continuing to advertise accommodation and experiences in illegal Israeli settlements, Booking.com is complicit in Israel’s ongoing violation of international law and ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

I therefore ask that Booking.com:

1.     Removes all current listings of accommodation and experiences in illegal Israeli settlements

2.     Adopts a robust policy, to be made publicly available, committing not to list or in any other way promote accommodation and experiences in illegal Israeli settlements.

Kind regards,

@bookingcom Whilst your decision to label accommodation in Israeli settlements as existing on “occupied” Palestinian land is welcomed. I urge you do more. By continuing to advertise in illegal Israeli settlements, Booking.com is complicit in Israeli apartheid. #DestinationApartheid

Here are frequently asked questions on #DestinationApartheid

Booking.com’s complicity in Israel’s occupation of Palestine was exposed by a report released by the United Nation that lists all businesses which retain active links with Israeli settlements, in the occupied Palestinian territories.

No. TripAdvisor and Expedia also advertise properties and activities offered by illegal Israeli settlements on their websites.

Palestinian ID holders are banned from accessing these advertised properties and activities advertised by Booking.com.

Story so far.

Booking.com advertises accommodation in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. It labels this accommodation as existing on “occupied” Palestinian land, but this is not enough.

Despite knowing that Israeli settlements are illegal under international law, Booking.com continues to advertise this accommodation. This must stop.

By staying in illegal Israeli settlements, peoples’ holiday is #DestinationApartheid. Take action now.
